Note to my little ones...

Just thought I'd let you in on a little scoop...I love you, Jacob and Julia. It melt my heart to hear both of you tell me the same thing today. Both of you said it out of the blue, not following my I love you, or after any crazy decision I might have just made. Julia, you turned and said I love you just after you woke up and we were having a snack together. (veggies and dip) Jacob, you came and asked me a question today while I was snuggling with your sister, and after my reply of "go work on your letter and them I'll be down" you said it. They were both the sweetest whispers in the world.

Who knows what you'd be saying right now if I didn't get the chance to stay at home with the both of you? I know for sure you wouldn't see each other as much if I was working right now.
The other day your teacher Ms. Billy commented on how much you think about your sister during the day. You are always making one for her or asking for one for her, she said. She asked if you get along, but it was pretty evident by the hugs you were giving each other and the words "I love you my Julia, my sweetie pie!"
I hope this friendship continues and you always remember to forgive each other at the end of the day and remember you are more than buds, you are family!

Right now we are enjoying the sweet sound of "doe-re-mi" and "I am sixteen, going on seventeen". I love the little rock version that Julia gave us the other day, and am so thankful that your aunt and uncle got to hear it as well. They love you so much.

On Sunday we went to visit Stephanie and Grace and when Grace asked Julia how old she was she responded by saying, "14".

Well, I just wanted to thank you for loving each other and bringing so much love to those around you. Always remember to love. Julia, thank you for reminding us not to go to bed angry. Sweet dreams:)

Beach Day 3

Wow the days are starting to run together, but this day was rainy too! However, unlike yesterday we were able to swim and made our first visit to the hot tub. The view from the outdoor hot tib made a rainy day so much better! I wish I had a picture to help me remember but hopefully my words will awaken any pictur stored in my file of "dreamy".

When we returned back to the pool to suit up for our next adventure, Fudpuckers, we were all smoking! Actually it was just the steam and I'm pretty sure the adults got a bigger kick out of it than the kiddos.

Beach day 2

Not too many pictures as it was rainy most of the day. Jacob and Todd decided that jellyfish hunting was better than kite flying in the rain!

Todd realized that eating at our favorite restaurant was not the kids top picks. So, we settled in for some bar food and virgin drinks.

Needless to say these jellyfish made it back to our room/deck. Luckily on the 2nd to last day of our trip it turned into sand dollar hunting, aka clicky shells!

On the road again...

This is how the day ended. Julia officially gets car sick. After she gets sick she is laughing and being a pistol as soon as she is feeling better. This totally makes sense now that I think back to the episode we had down to St. Louis for Christmas break.
Jacob was a super traveler. Wide awake at 4:00-7:00 in the morning, but squeezed in a nap for almost three hours.  This let me catch a snooze while dad drove.

More tops, more tops, more tops

"More tops, ok. Thank you mom."
I wish I could bottle up your cute little vocabulary right now. Tonight I pulled out the blocks that have been right under our nose this winter, only to find that you love them! In fact you are staying up past your bed time because it's so much fun to watch you play.
Now you are singing the muffin man!

Beach day 1

By these pictures you wouldn't guess that we had the beach to ourselves. There wasn't much sunshine, but there was kite flying, sandcastle building and wrecking. Last but not least, there was a nap taken on the beach by the two sleepy heads in the family!

Baby Mila

I don't think anything could be any sweeter than sweet little Ju-ju-B holding a baby for her first time and singing, You are my sunshine!

She took to holding a baby like in was an instinct...go figure. Hopefully we will have some more babies to hold in the near future. Until then, we will keep practicing with our soft babies.

"Getting Stronger"

Julia has really turned on the talking button lately and is claiming to be stronger! I just love what she says sometimes. Now when she is upset, I just tell her to use her words instead of crying and it just melts my heart to hear what is making her sad.

You are pretty tough and love to do what your brother does...but lately both of you have been playing on your own:)

We have had tea parties out of these blue cups and out of our neighbors fancy tea set...thank goodness the plastic blue ones were the ones she decided to throw up in the air when they were empty!
I love how she says "more tea" usually followed by an excited "yeah" when I confirm what it is she wants.

At night this book has been a favorite and is referred to as the "baby book."
