 Are you a little Judy?

This picture might be the reason I haven't signed you up for dance. Actually, I did enjoy my quick run with dance. So why am I dragging my feet to get you signed up? Maybe it's because I don't know if they have the right program for you. YOU are SOMETHING and I don't see you dancing with shy little four year olds!

In the meantime, we will keep practicing throwing and catching to get you ready for your July tball. When we do this together, I totally know that you are my daughter. You laugh at everything (aren't too serious) and you don't get upset when you drop more than you catch. You are coachable and you have quite an arm. I can't wait to see what you do when you are on the field with others.
Will you chase after every ball you can get your hands on or will you be incorporating your awesome imagination or dance skills because you are bored with the sport?
Either way, I know I will have a smile on my face the entire time watching you.

Not so lucky

I We managed to bring home a nasty chest cold for me and your dad. A few days later you managed to get the stomach bug. Such a pleasant sick girl you are. Thank you so much for coming down and waking me so I could grab my trusty bucket and make a catch rather than a clean up! I owe you big time sweetie.

As for your brother, the X-ray confirmed he kicked pneumonia an can resume normal activity.

Lucky

Anytime we make it home after a long trip, we are more than lucky. You talked us into one last treat on the way home...and I promise you, your lips will only be that way if we have survived over 2,000 miles in the car together!

I'm sure Julia will remember the aftermath of this drink! It was just a couple days past the "lucky" St. Patrick's day where we failed to put an ounce of green on you and didn't even have a green beer.
After your trip to the restroom, let's just say you made up for your lack of green!

One more day of sunshine

We wanted to leave the beach on good terms. Thank goodness our room was available one more night, AND we got a deal on it!

Breakfast on the beach when you think you are checking out in the morning!

Crab hunt!

Just the right amount of salt and vinegar chips! For Julia, not the crab!

Waffle competition on the last morning landed us breakfast in the pull out!

And later landed me in ice cold water pulling you in your little ship!

Thanks for a great week and always knowing how to have fun!

Crabitat

As much as you love to be active Jacob, we love it when you create! Ever since your birthday you have been planning on getting a hermit crab. So while on your little sick leave back in February, we watched a couple videos and read some facts. Nothing serious, no note taking or anything.
To my surprise you made it back to school and wrote an informational piece on them.

Because of this I was more inclined to really doing this right, and because dad is your dad you didn't wind up with 1 crab, but 4.
Their names are Gator, Pointy, Rocky, Flower and Turbo. Yesterday when you were showing them to a neighbor their names changed a bit...Rothlesburger, and Aaron Rodgers!

Our neighbor lended us the most perfect chapter book to support our interest and learning about hermit crabs. You will be the expert on them soon! This book has you begging us to read more. To me, that's worth the critter expense. These new pets even have me buying sardines for them?! What!

Florida Fun part 2

Someone must have known we needed a little rest this spring break. Sadly it didn't come under the umbrella shielding us from the sun. Instead, it came under fleece and layers providing us shelter from the wind. Looking back on our trip in pictures, it appears we fit everything in.

Tiger's blood, cotton candy and blue raspberry were the picks of this trip.
Julia, you got your walk to the restaurant and Jacob was asked to let this be your thing. And it was.

Jacob, you managed to ask us every morning to go to the arcade. On our last night, you snuck a special trip in with dad while Julia and I were out doing dancing and karoke.

You said this was the best night ever!

Julia, you sure love the stage!

And tatoos...

Oh and this time you wanted to hold it and Jacob let you.

Florida fun

We made it just in time for the sunset! Even after we stopped at our first souvenir shop to check out hermit crabs and grab a couple cold ones!

Thank goodness our little surfer girl and creature catching boy came along for the ride!
