You guys still enjoy the festivities that this holiday brings. Each year we do a little less but more than some! We still have several pumpkins to carve, seeds to be roasted, popcorn balls to be made and a house to clean so we can host a pre Halloween trick or treating night!
Last night we had our first family Halloween party and it was a struggle to get everyone in costume. Maybe it had something to do with already dressing up 2x Jacob? Julia, you like to give me a challenge when we have to wear something other than shorts! However, you guys sure had fun! I even got out of my comfort zone and threw on a shirt that my brother said looked like a referee shirt 4 years ago! And it did. Julia even said I shouldn’t because I’ll embarrass myself! Seriously kid. Is this a flash forward to when you are in high school and you care what your parents look like?
As second graders at your school you got to board the bus and show up at the hospital where you and Caleb got your stitches! I didn’t realize you would be actually trick or treating! Your helmet was overflowing while you were sorting it in the bus before you made it back to school. I’d say it was a good day...especially since you traded your chocolate Oreos with a girl who didn’t want her white ones...and you gave the white ones to your sister when you got home! Win-win-win! Thank you!
