In May...

You guys had a great time in St. Louis

Ditched your training wheels in St. Louis

Wiped out on your bike when you got home to show us:( 2 elbow scraps, 1 knee and a "shin"
High socks were the thing to wear this month...thanks for letting your sister borrow a pair

Got to go fishing one more time in Iowa with a friend this time.

Played basketball and hopscotch on our new driveway!

Made scrambled eggs all by yourself. Not to mention you collected them at Jen's farm.
Julia, you can finally do it all by yourself! Who needs toys? Had a great Mom adventure with Aunt La and even got to see Uncle Agustin.

You had a taste of kindergarten and seemed to be ok with it all. We planted sunflower seeds with hopes that they will grow. (I better pick up one more pack, just in case)

Used minnows for the first time:)

Decorated the hotel room for dad's bday.

Your silly dad let you have two cotton candies:)

Made it to Pennsylvania and back with only a couple meltdowns...not too bad for being out of our routine and not much space to be an active kid. Poor Julia couldn't help us find the right song on the way home.

Became my two little box trolls in Aldi

Found a duck on our walk

Dad surprised us with a soft hot tub for our hot summer days;)

Were chasing each other in the kitchen and Julia crashed her head into a knob while using my legs to grab and stop herself...the best part was the bandages you gave yourself and your goose egg on your head:)

We had a lot of wonderful days in May, filled with adventures and new experiences. You were surrounded by family and friends so much it was as though they all lived right down the street and not a 1,000+ miles away.

Even though my month was filled with little ones testing my patience and some refusing to listen at times...I still have the best job.
We slept until 8 all snuggled up tight in bed and you both continued to sleep until 9:00 or after! You both are getting better at staying in your bed and made good use of the pull out couch in the hotel room.
Jacob, you are becoming quite the little man who is becoming very responsible. You are dressing yourself and changing your wardrobe throughout the day, making your own breakfast, helping your sister with her numbers and letters, and playing with the neighbor on a regular basis.
Julia, you still scream when I brush your hair, you are requesting/demanding your hot pink or purple shorts, you won't just put any shoe on, you are spending time in your room or in the tub just chatting away and content to be by yourself, and you still are a half a step behind your brother. You still love to strut when you walk or put your hand on your hip. You have the best expressions/inflections when you talk and I just love to listen to you. Your conversations on the phone are lasting longer and the questions you ask when talking to others doesn't seem true for your age!
My coffee is getting a little warmer this month, so I guess it's a sign you are both getting a little older.
Remind me to slow down and soak more of you two up!
