June was full of goodness! It’s a good month when you can’t decide on which thing was your favorite. I’m pretty sure there are many things that aren’t even pictured here that would rank in the top 10...I better include them in case I forget!
The last 2 days of school were spent at home packing and getting ready to officially start the summer in Colorado!
It was a beautiful day and I thought a fishing date was necessary...that is until the rods got tangled!
I’d say you guys are set on tackle and enough tangles to get a glimpse of the big ones in the water.
You were instant friends with the Snow crew in Colorado. Every minute at the house you were entertained and not bothering each other which was perfect! I was able to have a couple conversations from start to finish without being interrupted!
That called for an ice cream treat and some arcade time. Someday you’ll figure out that being kind to others and being helpful will get extra stops at the ice cream place!
We arrived in Denver and you were happy to see sets of escalators and revolving doors. You didn’t seem to notice the carriage rides or bike cabs. That’s my kind of deal:)
However, Dad almost made a deal to buy you a $$$ stuffed frog! Really, you don’t have enough of those things lying all over your bedrooms?!
After our trip out west you had enough energy to check out vacation bible school on the second night and you thanked me a million times for taking you, Julia! It was the sweetest and so when a private swim party was on the last night, I made sure you guys got to stay as long as you wanted. It was only 68 degrees but the water felt good and the slide was enjoyed by our little swimmy fish.
Unfortunately the weather wasn’t ideal for grandma Lois’ visit. Time in the kitchen and telling stories was a favorite part in addition to a visit to chicken ranch:)
This month you have been busy playing with friends and enjoying the late summer nights. It has made you a little grumpy but you usually snap out of it when you catch up on your sleep. Thank goodness family kept you busy in St. Louis and you didn’t have a chance to show them anything but your sweet side. I’m pretty sure your camo expedition in the woods with your cousins was a favorite-but Six Flags has you feeling pretty grown up as well!
Our trip to New Orleans was just what I needed and I’d have to say that our meals made us just as happy as your box of 40+ popcorn from grandma and pa made you!
Now back to Iowa with some treats to start the month of July off right!
