"Something healthy"

We sure are lucky to have kids who know their fruits and vegetables. We are also lucky that we can afford "healthy" food for you. I can't believe I have to limit the healthy food you pick out at Aldi for fear it's too much fruit for you.
Today, I didn't filter the items that went in the cart and came home with a little extra sugar. It was followed up by a picnic in the trees prepared by you!
Thankfully you didn't clear your plates and agreed to only a few of each of the  sweet items.

No, I'm Julia

I still can see my little girl in those eyes...
your looks of curiosity, wonder, confidence and silliness seem to be what I capture lately. The one that gets me most is the one where you are struggling to take care of business. I only pray that this is a phase and you soon will grow out of it as you have many others. It's the first time I feel helpless and wish I didn't have to watch you struggle. I wish I had the magic wand to make it all better. However, you seem to be doing fine on your own. You are becoming more comfortable with your independence. You scale the playground equipment while I watch from afar, you proudly grab your clothes and attempt to get dressed, you lug the gallon jug of milk around like you have been pouring your own for years, and you recently started becoming more aware of going to the bathroom and know just when to get out of Stephanie's pool. When it comes time for bed you know just what you want. This morning when I came in to check on you at 6:00 (because you bellowed my name) I asked if you needed your mimi to which you replied "no, I want you." Once your toes were covered and your mimi was back in place you went back to sleep for another couple hours.
