Big Head Todd and Monsters Inc.

It was a perfect get away. I hope I never forget the little things from this moment in time that made me smile...
Me: look Julia there's a cow
Julia: (sings) spotted cow

Jacob asked me to take a picture of him,
Believe it or not.

Jacob: let's go see big head Todd and monsters inc.
Julia: I want to see monster

This is after Julia took a 45 minute nap in my arms with BHTM blaring in the background and about 2 minutes before Julia had a puddle of pee beneath us? While I was holding her? Go figure. Thank goodness I brought extra clothes for her:)

Me: Julia, if you want to throw it in the lake you need to step and throw
Julia: like dis?  Yeah, I did it! High five! Hey dad...

The perfect getaway if you take out the walk from hell...for so many different reasons.

The fireworks were pretty spectacular...so we can just erase the memory of the morning walk...but we all need moments like these to appreciate some of the other ones even more.

Like the kids blowing their horns for nearly 30 minutes, and not the 30 minutes we spent picking out the second toy of the night to have to walk back and return the blow horn because we didn't get two light up bubble guns. What were we thinking? The vendor was nice enough to make it an even exchange.

Back to the fireworks...they were beautiful and lasted a long time. Long enough for a 2 and 4 year old to lose interest and start running 50 yard dash sprints. Luckily, no one was hurt and it tired them out even more.

New glarus...do we stop or go home?
Me: Kids, do you want to go home or go see Herman?
Kids: See Herman!

I may or may not have been craving a burger, but next time I'll enjoy the moment without trying to eat and will just order a beer. What a great visit we had!
