Life Lessons

We survived another freezing day in Iowa. The sun was shining but it wasn't what was making your exposed skin burn. Hopefully it will start warming up and will stay warm. It's not much fun coming home to snow after being on he beach.
Today, we abandoned an over crowded Indoor park for a trip to a nearly vacant mall. Instead of chasing you, you guys chased coins of all sizes. Yes, you were on the ground in a public place, "rolling down the Sandhills", as well as touching money. Two things that gross me out, but not today. Luckily we could wash our hands in the nearby soap store:0

In addition to playing indoors we met a stranger who was as interested in rolling coins as you. Instead of a lesson on how to take turns or how to treat others, there was a lesson taught today from a stranger named, Hunter. I hope it will be one that you remember the rest of your life Jacob and Julia. It's a simple one; always wear your seatbelt. I hope and pray you will always take the time to buckle up when you are with friends or on your own. I'm so thankful Hunter took the time to get down to your level and explain why he is visually impaired. I know you can't comprehend his story in it's entirety...but some day you might...and it might just be the thing that saves you.
