Happy Birthday Eve

Four years ago doesn't seem like that long ago. Did I write down the details of your birth day? I tried a couple years later, minus a couple details. I don't think I jotted anything down about the eve of your birth.
So here's the shortened version. (All I can remember) I went to work that day and got home and took advantage of a date night with your dad. I remember feeling like it was a waste of money to go out to eat since I had no appetite because of heartburn. I also remember feeling so thankful that I only had to wait 37 weeks to meet you and your arrival it was just one more sleep away! I don't like surprises and God got that. Therefore, I could pick the date and know the time of day you would be born. There's Moms who would pay good money for that knowledge...and once again I got a bargain and scored it for free!
I remember feeling content and had a good idea of what was ahead. Just in case the ultrasound was wrong I wasn't getting my hopes up about having a girl...but we didn't have a boys name picked out!

Now after you came into this world I do remember looking at you and your tiny little body just under 7 pounds and wondering are you going to grow into those big feet of yours, especially that toe?!

As far as I'm concerned you are growing just fine, in fact, beautifully. You aren't a little girl any more. You can take care of those babies better than most teenagers.
You are full of so much and seem to be sharing it with more and more people. When you talk and tell stories you are captivating and have everyone smiling! When you dance, watch out!

When you play in the gym, you are becoming more coordinated and hitting the ball with a paddle or racquet 1/100 times.

When you color, you may do it for minutes instead of seconds.

When you request dip there better be some chicken or salad coming!

When you use the restroom you are becoming more independent and don't request privacy as much. You'd love to be more independent in the kitchen, but I'm not ready for that.
When you wake, you crawl in my bed for snuggles.

When you wake in the middle of the night you want stories and we argue for 5 minutes before you are sound asleep again.

Every night you request two books...and you always fall asleep in your bed. when we don't have that time together, I have trouble falling asleep...especially if you aren't quite asleep and you are in a room with the door closed. Let's just say half the time you are reading/picture walking through a pile of books and the other time might be getting into trouble.
