Happy Mother's Day

Because I am your mom I mostly get to teach (nag) you all day long. On occasion I give you a break, but I want you to be the kindest, cleanest kids in all the world and some days it feels I'm not even close to getting you there!

I don't want you to worry and I want you to know that with God, things are possible. You have both been blessed with special attributes and I just hope you find ways to use them to be a blessing to others.

This note is a little delayed, but both of you have such a teaching side to you, it makes me just jump for joy. You can be so patient and so descriptive, it makes me wonder why it was so hard to get my fourth grade students to perform in the same manner. You two are just perfect for your age. You know enough to keep you active and entertained and well...you make it so others can enjoy it around you too!

Thank you for helping me to enjoy my life as a mom. Days can be challenging but Imin the grand scheme of things, really they aren't. It may only take you seconds before a perfectly clean kitchen (yeah right) is messy again, it could be worse. My day might be filled with more steps and less chances to enjoy a meal, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Years ago I thought it was awful for your grandpa to heat up cold coffee, but the days I find that cold cup of coffee in my house planted on the shelf where I put it down to carry laundry or to find a water bottle, or grab some socks, it is a treasure! And yes, it is still a treasure if I find that same mug 3hrs later in the microwave where I left it! As for beer, well your dad thinks it's gross that I drink beer warm...so all I just do is smile and say thank you for the opportunity to find out what it's like to experience life with you two and enjoy a warm beer to go along with it!
