Love is...

I love it when Jacob...
-Asks to snuggle
-Says his "thank you Jesus" prayer
-Smiles so big his dimple is almost lost!
-Crunches his snacks while we sit together on the couch
-Says "that'd be a good idea"
-Calls his sister sweetie pie
-Asks where dad is every morning
-Invites his grandma to come see something
-Calls Andy "little boy, little fella"
-Sings while going potty
-Shares with his sister or asks if he can get another one for her
-Draws his sister a snowman
-Makes the letter a in his name
-Holds my cheeks and says "I love you mom." And if I'm lucky I get a kiss to go with
-And his sister discover something funny and keep making each other laugh

I love it when Julia...
-Laughs so hard her nose crinkles up
-starts babbling and makes Jacob laugh
-Says I love you more
-Starts talking about people or her day in simple two word bursts
-takes something from Jacob and takes off running so fast
-Dips her finger in our beer
-Sits and reads a book to herself
-holds her babies
-Says "hot chocolate"
-wakes up in the morning and loves to cuddle
- says "Hi Jacob" when he gets in the van after a morning at school

I couldn't have planned this love story more perfectly. Love is being a parent to two children who demonstrate love each day. Love is being surrounded by your children's laughter. Love is seeing your children care for one another. Love is sharing the events of the day with daddy when he comes home. Love is being together.
