Dreams

Today, Jacob woke up looking for his dad, as usual. However, when we both made it to his room to watch him stretch he told us about his dream. It included parachutes, fireworks, neighbor friends and wishing he could shoot them off by himself! Sounds like a pretty good dream which would make me want to sleep in my bed as long as I could. (Something that we are still working on).

Things that you are saying lately that just make us smile include:
- I wish I had a whistle, but I don't
- sometimes I listen to you but I don't listen
-can I stay for like seven hours
-after breakfast
-dandaid for band-aide
-nilla icecream
-tomorrow and another tomorrow, not today but tomorrow

You are still catching bugs and very distracted/interested in them. As we were leaving the swimming pool the other day, a object hovering in the air caught our attention. I promised we'd go back with nets to catch them once the pool was closed for the season.
At the pool I got a taste of a mom missing her little boy because he was off playing with a friend. At least you didn't ignore me or refuse to sit by me when we went to get a snack...it was bittersweet. On one hand I was happy and relieved I could relax and enjoy playing with you both  in the water, but realized I won't be doing it much longer. I'm sure I'll enjoy reading a good book poolside when the day comes, but it will be different to have children who are more independent and less dependent on me:(
