This trip gave us time to appreciate each other, soak up some more of your cuteness without the distractions of our daily life, and gave me time to just catch up with a dear friend. It was quick, perfect and memorable. Julia got to climb her mountain in her boots, and you I'm afraid didn't catch your snake. Don't worry, I'm sure we will run into one at daddy's work pond as we wind down our season of toad hunts.
Life as a stay at home mom is all about the family and putting my little ones and sometimes my husband first. Therefore, I don't always get to the things I want to do! I hope this blog helps capture the moments from our day that makes cold coffee and warm beer all worth it.

MOUNTAINS win AGAIN
This road trip you were "hook"ed on Blues Travelers four. What a great CD. I know it takes me back to riding in your dad's squeaky Blazer every time. I'm pretty sure we will now think of you in years to come when we hear, "that song you played in the convertible when we got ice cream." I think we just needed a change of scenery...it just happened to be a bit later in the summer than we expected.
