Slow down and soak these kiddos up!

Sometimes your dad and I need things to distract us from the list of things we think we should do. Each day we should ask ourselves...what did we do with our children to make a moment more memorable or a day we won't forget?

This week we are doing a pretty good job. We tried to fly kites without the white sandy beaches beneath our feet, we took one last stab at fishing and almost came up empty handed, your dad was patient enough to let you think you were helpful moving dirt with your very own shovels. We haven't even made it to the weekend! 

Tonight, I got a sweet "I love you mom," from Jacob by just taking the time and allowing him to have one of my cosmetic bags. 

You guys don't need much. You just need us. You need us to be interested, and to have patience. You need us to take the time to teach and guide. You need us to be active. Last but not least, you need us to fill our house with love. We love you guys so much...we really really do.
