Remeber when(s) is how your dad and I made it through 3 years of a long distance relationship.
This is how you guys make me smile on a daily basis...rattling off a couple blasts from the past (and you are only 6 and 4)
Jacob: Mom, remember when you cought that really big jelly fish? It weighed like a hundred pounds and almost broke our net.Julia: Remember when I got stung by that bee when I was cleaning potatoes?
Julia: Remember that time (I already forgot what you reminded me of)
Dad: Remember when we brought Jacob home? Remember when we brought Julia home?
Me: Remember when we walked to Backporch and didn't bring a diaper bag?
Life is full of moments to remember. Today, I felt like I went above and beyond to make them special for you. (rainbow fruit and veggie platter with ranch, Dr. Seuss "Hop on Pop" popcorn, breakfast sausages to go along with the biscuits you made at school, and even one last trip to indoor park.) So I asked you what was special about your day...and you listed none of the above! Really, you are worth it, but really?!
So today, will we remember it as the day dad came home and played with you in both of your rooms (probably), or one of the days we read books and ate ice cream, or cuddled in bed and you asked for us to tickle your hands or when we let you wedge your feet under our bodies?
Who knows? We will find out because you guys will be sure to remind us!
