Jacob

Happy 6th birthday Jacob! This mornings snuggle was the best and I wish it could have lasted all morning. We may not be the most affectionate family or give hugs to people as they come and go...but boy do we know how to snuggle or lay with each other! You stick to your dad like glue and find ways for your feet to be wedged under us even when we are on the couch. As much as we don't want you to grow older, we would be ok with you falling asleep in your own bed...well sort of!
Your birthday consisted of pancakes with sprinkles for breakfast, popcorn for morning snack with families at school, Sandwich and Doritos with dad at lunch and Dunkin donuts for a birthday treat at school.
When it came time to make an ice cream cone to sing happy birthday to you...I didn't have a single ingredient. Lucky for you, your dad took you down to the gas station where you came home with treats for both you and Julia! Happy birthday kiddo. I hope you have a great week and don't get what your sister has.

This is the smile that sucks us all in. It is pure happiness...and it comes when we are playing with you. That is your happiness. When you have our attention, no tv on, no interruptions, just you in the moment.
Thanks for being you. Beyond perfect when it comes to health, just right when it comes to academics, genuine when it comes to affection, not too competitive when it comes to sports(sort of), brave when it comes to adventures, normal when it comes to being a big brother, and the best gift in the world for being our son!
