Pre game:
Involved balloons, sorting and organizing of treats, bags, and talking the day through.
Oh and when I said get your nerf guns organized for the games we were going to play...holy wow, you did this!
Game:
We picked 6 very excited boys up from school and the way they took off for the vehicles had me thinking they would have ran a mile to get to the house...no need for cars!
Let's just say it was c-Razy! I am sooooo thankful your dad was there with me and Julia was out having fun.
All we could do was just look at each other and smile! I was in disbelief on how chaotic everything was and I'm pretty sure you thought you'd have a little more organized play!
Let's just say snack time saved us and Pie in the Face killed some time without any tears and provided lots of laughter!
It would have been wrong of me to take a picture of the tears...but if I was taking more pictures instead of keeping the peace, I would have had to try and not catch anyone in action. Good grief! What are you guys, 5 or something?!
Aside from the craziness. You and your five friends were pretty cute! They loved the idea of earning treats for sportsmanship, playing goalie, finding dog poop, helping out a friend and having fun! Those things I thought would just happen, but instead they just needed a way to channel all of their excitement into positive play!
Post Game:
Too tired to take pictures but happy to enjoy some time with three cute little kids decorating gingerbread houses...
I'm glad dad got to enjoy the day too. It definitely brought your dad and I closer because it was something we were doing together and neither of us want to do it again! Loved him more that day than I have in a long time! He's a keeper.
Happy birthday month, Jacob! I WILL be the mom who does anything (reasonable) for you, but maybe I'll think it through a little more next time. I'll also ask some friends with parenting experience if they think it's a good idea!
