"Up in the morning and off to school..."

Julia, you sure handled the start of your school year like it was no big deal. You couldn't wait for me and dad to get out of your room. I couldn't have asked for an easier transition for you. Going to "Jacob's old shoool" made it that much easier, I'm sure. Having Jacob's teacher from last year made it comfortable enough for you to ask her when the food was coming, 45 minutes into it!

Will you remember the phase of "ugly clothes" and not wanting anything but your ugly horse shirts? Not sure where this came from, but it was nearly a mother's nightmare experience on your first day!
Two loads of laundry done before 8:20 to clean the shirt that you wore the day before was a flop! After going through the clean loads, your shirt was nowhere to be found! Duh, because it was right where we left it the night before...Smack dab in the middle of your room, on the floor! So after a couple spot cleans, it was good to go and you my friend won the battle of the day! However, the next day I won and made you wear the clothes that were picked out for you and not "ugly".

After school I was ready to treat you to anything in town...well almost. Instead of going to a dine in place, we picked a taco and tamale up at our local food truck. I have been staring at that truck all summer and was dying for anything to eat! It was just what we needed. A little snack in between attempts to cross the monkey bars at the playground!

I am still needing some practice taking pictures with my new camera, but you don't like to cooperate! Imagine that. Here's to next week and another one after that! One week at a time:) Good thing your are special helper next week!

Picked more "wedgies" this week than we have picked vegetables out of our garden!
